Research interests:

Rhetorical studies, with an emphasis on the classical Greco-Roman model, especially Aristotle and Cicero, or any other rhetorician from Ancient History. Proposals that explore intertextuality with this theme, as well as the reception of its concepts in later texts, are also welcome; Grammar, Grammatography, and Grammatical Theory: Projects that address grammar issues regarding their historiographical, methodological, conceptual, and comparative aspects are also encouraged. Preferably, research proposals whose focus sheds light on ancient grammars or those produced from the Middle Ages (in Greek, Latin, or Portuguese) up to the second half of the 20th century – limited, in this case, to works written in Portuguese; Study, Interpretation, and Translation of Latin texts of any kind or field.

Research interests:

Research in musical training and performance practices: it investigates the application of knowledge and skills from Baroque and Classical music training of the 21st-century musician; it encompasses interdisciplinary studies that explore the intersection between musical training and performance practices, bringing together historical concepts with contemporary musical practice and cognitive studies. This includes musical analysis, historical musicology, the philosophy and aesthetics of music, as well as the application of contemporary music education theories to performance practice, and the investigation of new pedagogical and interpretative approaches.
