The Graduate Program in Languages and Arts at the State University of Amazonas (PPGLA-UEA) accepts proposals for the accreditation of new faculty members with a minimum of two years of doctoral experience, during the final semester of the CAPES evaluation quadrennium, if one of the following alternatives is met:
a) by invitation from a member of the Academic Committee, accepted unanimously by the other permanent members, following the evaluation of the candidate’s CV and academic productivity by the accreditation committee.
b) by the candidate's interest, in which case the Accreditation Committee evaluates a submitted proposal for the CV and academic productivity, which must be unanimously approved.
The first four years will be taken into consideration for this analysis.
For accreditation, candidates are requested to present a work plan, containing a research project, an indication of the line of research in which they will work, the courses they are qualified to teach among the ones already offered by the program, as well as a documented Lattes curriculum.
For reaccreditation, candidates are required to present an annual report containing the academic productivity recorded and documented in the Lattes curriculum. This production will be later assessed in the final year of the quadrennium.
Upon the evaluation of the research project, due to the interdisciplinary nature of the Graduate Program in Languages and Arts at the State University of Amazonas (PPGLA-UEA), a balance between the research lines into which the program is divided must be maintained.
For the assessment of the applicant’s academic record, PPGLA applies accreditation and reaccreditation criteria based on scholarly output indicators established in the relevant field document."
